You Own Your Code
Any Python script or project you write on PyLabs belongs exclusively to you.
Fair & Safe Use
Do not use PyLabs to store harmful files, attempt denial-of-service, or harass other community learners.
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using PyLabs (accessible at https://mahadi.net and associated domains), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.
2. Account Registration and Security
- Account Creation: You may register using a unique username and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- Account Recovery: You are encouraged to configure at least one recovery method (security questions, phone verification, or Google OAuth) to avoid losing access to your learning progress.
- One Person, One Account: Do not create automated or spam accounts. Accounts found to be abusing the platform may be deactivated.
3. Code Execution and Sandboxing
Python code execution within PyLabs occurs client-side in your web browser via WebAssembly (Pyodide):
- You agree not to attempt to craft scripts designed to exploit browser vulnerabilities or escape client-side sandboxes.
- Because execution runs on your device, heavy infinite loops may freeze your browser tab. Use the Reset or Clear buttons if needed.
4. Cloud Drive & Storage Fair Use
PyLabs Drive provides cloud storage for your Python scripts and related educational assets:
- File Size Limit: Individual files are limited to 10 MB.
- Prohibited Content: You may not upload malware, pirated software, copyrighted material without permission, or unlawful content.
- Quotas: Accounts abusing storage capacity or generating excessive API bandwidth may have their upload privileges throttled or suspended.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
- Your Content: You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of any code, text, or files you create or upload to PyLabs.
- Platform Content: PyLabs curriculum text, quizzes, exercises, branding, logos, and custom UI components are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not scrape, clone, or redistribute the curriculum for commercial resale without prior written authorization.
6. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
PyLabs is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for 99.9% uptime and data persistence, PyLabs will not be held liable for any loss of code, data corruption, or temporary service interruptions. We recommend keeping local copies of important work.
7. Modifications to Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When significant updates occur, we will notify learners via our in-app notification center and update the "Last updated" date above.
